For many years I have been working internationally in the golf, tourism and hotel industry, and in that time I have gathered an incredible amount of experience. From classic sales through distribution and marketing to strategic business development, international golf projects and worldwide partnerships. I have supported golf facilities, helped shape openings, lived through restructurings, built international teams and delivered projects in several countries.
My path led me from operational roles directly at golf facilities in Portugal to international positions with leading providers of international golf and resort hospitality. Today I work on the further development of golf destinations worldwide, develop strategies, support investments, take responsibility for international marketing concepts and work together with strong teams to keep developing golf offerings.
Along the way I have been able to work with tour players, support sponsoring projects, organise large events and build international networks. Whether golf resort, hotel, association, event or tourism concept, what still excites me today is the chance to turn ideas into reality and to inspire people with special experiences.
What, in my view, has made my path so special are the many different perspectives I have been able to get to know. I know the operational everyday just as well as strategic decisions at company level. I have worked directly with guests, developed sales strategies, taken responsibility for budgets, built partnerships and supported international projects.
In parallel, I have invested many years in continuing education. From hotel business administration, golf operations management and revenue management through sales, marketing and digitalisation to AI, leadership, resilience and tourism development.
I am especially grateful for the people I have met along the way. For inspiring conversations, shared projects, new ideas and the ongoing chance to work in an industry that thrives so much on emotion and passion.
And that is exactly why I look forward to everything still to come. New projects. New ideas. New challenges. New ways to inspire people for golf, tourism and special experiences.
Alongside my work in the international golf industry, my passion for digital marketing and entrepreneurship has been with me for many years. Since 2010 I have worked independently in online marketing and have engaged intensively with SEO, performance marketing, content strategies, affiliate marketing and digital growth models. Websites, brand building, audience growth and digital visibility have been part of my world for many years, just as much as tourism and golf. The combination of digital know-how, sales, strategy and international hands-on experience often opens up completely new perspectives on projects and developments.
My book on golf tourism brought together many experiences, impressions and developments from the international golf and tourism world. At its heart were practical insights, inspiration and experience from the industry. From golf hotels and destinations through green-fee strategies to special travel experiences, marketing and modern developments in golf tourism. From the outset the goal was to give golfers, travellers and businesses helpful perspectives, ideas and new viewpoints, and at the same time to make the enthusiasm for international golf travel tangible.
I have also been shaped by my volunteer experience with the association Tansania, Zukunft durch Sonne e.V. Over several years we collected donations, planned projects and travelled to Tanzania several times to deliver sustainable aid projects together on the ground. Among other things, a school, a solar power system and a water supply for the region around Kilimanjaro were created.
